Formulated Solutions IT Manager Takes Home First Place
CLEARWATER, FL (July 24, 2007) - Chirag Mehta, IT System Manager and Software Architect for the Clearwater based OTC Pharmaceutical company Formulated Solutions was recently awarded a First Place award, as judged by his peers, at this year's Mashup Camp 4, in Silicon Valley, California.
Chirag, who created his prize winning Chime.TV with a close friend Taylor McKnight, says "I am really happy that we won, but originally I was more concerned with just watching some good videos, after I cancelled my cable TV service." A mashup is a website or application that combines content from more than one source into an integrated experience. Chime.TV, which requires no special software and works seamlessly within your browser window, aggregates video from ten different video services to provide a single uninterrupted stream of entertainment.
This is not Chirag’s first experience at receiving praise for his creative web and software development hobbies, Chirag received international recognition, including a feature article in the Wall Street Journal for his US Presidential Speeches tag cloud project.

No word yet if Chirag, mindful of his company productivity, will have to block the extremely additive Chime.TV from his company's allowable domains.
